I am Hoping someone can help me, When my Son was 5 I found him in his bed having a Grand Mal Seizure. This lasted for over 10min. When it had finished The Ambulance had taken him to the hospital, His recovery was very slow and he had no muscle tone for at least 2 hours later. He was not diagnosed with epilepsy and a convulsion through high temperature was not the cause. It was just one of those things. Months Later Joshua starting waking in the morning telling me he had Pins and Needles. But they seemed to take a long time to disapear and he would have real trouble walking. I thought nothing of it. Thease then starting to turn more complex where he would scream out during the night time, Joshua would be concious but would have Jerking movement generally on one side of his body, complaining he can't breath. These would sometime follow in to a grand Mal attack. At 5 He had an MRI Scan and EEG both tests showed nothing. These seizures became more frequent and our paediatrician diagnosed Josh with Benign Rolandic Epilepsy. He was then put on Epilem Chrono 300ml 2 times a day. This seem to have worked and he was basically seizure free with odd small attacks now and then. He is now 7 and has recently had some strage attacks during the day. PLease could someone tell me if any of there childen have lost feeling in one of both legs to the extent they can not walk and they become paralysed for a long period of time. He school Teacher has commented he is always falling over, has difficulty moving around the classroom and is constantly day dreaming. joshua has been diagnosed with Servere Dyslexia and is unable to read and right to reception age level yet. He has starting complaining of pain in one for and walks funny, ringing in his ears and sometimes a strange feeling in his stomach. If anyone can help on what they think I should do. as I am not getting any luck with my doctors...
