I need to remove my living room furniture and my boyfriend refuses to help because he's always tired from work or going to baseball games. I have no family and friends are not helping. What do I do>

I need to remove my living room furniture outside so I can sell it. I don't have any help so my questions is: WHAT DO I DO FOR HELP? Does anyone have any ideas, I can't afford movers because it's just to put the furniture outside..... ty

I would sell it on Criagslist and put in the posting that they need to move it and haul it away themselves.

Elfrieda, your info was helpful. The problem is, I'm having new people moving in soon. I don't live in the appt., just the house in the front. The furniture is mine but new tenants have thier own. It's a delicate matter but bf should double think...... ty

But if it's outside, I would think it's less likely to sell. Appearances are so important. Immediately, even if it's under a covered porch roof, outside makes me think about mice and rain damage. When we sold our trailer we pulled it out of the garage so people could see it, but left the door open when anyone came by so that they would know it had been stored inside.

Just something to think about. Of course if you don't feel safe having people come over that's more of a priority. Personally, I would keep the cordless phone in my hand as they come in so that I could call 911 if necessary, but most people are not dangerous.

Thanks Brittany, got on craigslist already but didn't want it inside the house when people come to see it. Safety comes first, since I'm usually alone during the day. Work out of the house. ty

Stacey, I usually do most of the work but this time; the furniture is an entertainment center which is extremely heavy. I tried asking neighbors but the ones around here are so old, they are antique. lol My bf does help but he works nights and sleeps during the day. His baseball games do tire him out but he can help if he puts himself into the 'helping' mood. But that's a hard mission so I thought of asking and see what possibilities I've got other than him. ity

I would do it my self and I have done, Honestly shifting a 3 peice couch on your own is hard work but possible and it shows the lazy arse you don't need him for heavy lifting! And "man's jobs" which I can also do a great deal of myself. If you really don't won't to almost kill yourself and be stubbon like me! could you ask a friend or neighbour to help?

I'd be telling your boyfriend to get off his lazy butt and do it. Sorry but I don't have any other ideas.
