so i am traveling from ct(east coast) all the way to mexico city, mexico. roughly 6 hrs. i can either choose a red eye & go directly or just layover in miami during the day. im not sure what is best... im scared she might freak out as she gets inpatient sitting on my lap for long. also i am curious to know what is turbulence like with a lap baby. i plan on breastfeeeeding, but all other suggestions are welcomed

Oh and BF on decent to! The ears pop then also, and it will relieve the pressure.

Fly direct if you can, especially on a red eye, it will be over night so baby will sleep. If baby does not like to fly, having to have 2 take offs and 2 landings, plus boarding, getting situated, much easier 1 time instead of multiple. Definitely BF during take off so babies ears pop naturally instead of crying in pain. You don't need much for the flight, maybe some little snacks, cup, some comfort toys, change of cloths, blanket, mat for changing, diapers, wipes. The easier you make it, less fuss. Good luck. I have had many experiences flying with my son at 5 months, 8 months, 1 year, 1 1/5 years and he LOVES flying!
