Hi everyone, I joined here because most of the women on Baby Center were just rude and sarcastic. I've been to this site a lot and everyone is very helpful!
So I am in a bit of a dilemma. My daughter is 6 months old and ebf. I used to be able to also rock her to sleep but for the past few weeks she will only fall asleep nursing. At night we bedshare and she also nurses to sleep. She started sttn at 4 weeks with 6 hour stretches, then we went through the 4 month sleep regression and she was up 5 times a night for over a month and went back to waking up once or twice. She now is waking up every hour to nurse just to fall back asleep. At least 7 times a night and it's just to much. I need to break the association with nursing to sleep time. I'm ready for her to sleep in her pack n play next to the bed. I think she would sleep better if she wasn't right next to me. I really need some advice ladies! I am against cry it out!! She is currently sleeping in my arms. I didn't nurse her to sleep this time, I tried rocking her and she cried but I just held her and sang to her and tried to calm her. I gave her a bunny to cuddle with so she can start to attach to it. It took 40 minutes of rocking and shushing to get her to sleep. She was pretty much crying/whining the whole time but I didn't give in and nurse like I usually do. After about 15 minutes her eyes where closed but she was still whining, is that normal??
Thanks in advance. I'm sorry it is so long! I hope someone can help!
Btw, she doesn't take a binky..only occasionally in the car.
