As long as the same rules you've set for the other children apply to the new girl too, the consern being the nanny alowing the child to do things you've said no to. She's there to aide the child but you are her teacher.

I think it sounds like a sensible idea. It will help the child settle, and also, if there is a language barrier, help with the communication. Just remember there will probably be a huge culture gap, so this will help bridge that and should be beneficial to everyone.
