I stopped having sex when I got pregnant..The thought of it made me sick. I gave birth a year ago and still have no sex drive, is that normal?

I'm 21. I stopped having sex when I was four months pregnant. And now, a year and a half later I still have no sex drive...

Yep, happened to me. What worked with me was (and I can't believe I actually do this now) reading romance novels. *blushes* I don't know why, but it brought the spark back and my husband and I have a normal sex life again. It took me 6 years to figure this out...I just thought I would always have no sex drive. But I accidentally picked up a romance novel (I thought it was just an innocent sci-fi novel) and it sparked something. I *ahem* "attacked" my husband later that night and told him about it. He promptly went out and bought the whole Dark-Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon http://www.sherrilynkenyon.com/book-seri...

So...I would recommend something saucy. It may help.

Oh, mine won't read them himself. He just wants to make sure I don't run out. ;)

Ohhh I got mine reading now, too! He hates BOOKS, but is reading more than he has in his entire life now that he has a nook of his own! He loves that we're reading the same things, even though we finish them and go on to others at different times. He was shocked that books could make him horny, lmao! Then again...anything can make it go for him.

So do I. My husband is starting to really like her work, too. *waggles eyebrows*

No, it is not normal, but it does happen. It's time to go to the doctor and find out if there is a hormonal reason you have lost your libido. Other causes can be stress and depression, and sometimes you just have to mentally work yourself up to it again.
