I have two kids one is 21 and graduated from high school but during his time in high school he constantly was accused of doing this that they never had any proof of him doing. for example: he was accused of drinking at a party because he was in a picture where beer cans were visible but nothing was in his hand. He was given a 20 percent punishment for sports and lost that much of his season the next year. That's just the first incident there were four others that had nothing to do with him but he got in trouble for. the worst one was when he was accused of hiding the remote to televisions in the lunch room when they showed us the school cameras and it showed another kid doing this act and my son never leaving the lunch room but he was accused even with proof of him not doing it! My other son is a senior in high school and is going through a similar incident except there is no proof that he had any involvement. The incident "there words not mine" is that kids were drinking and there was a fight but he wasn't involved in the fight just kids were saying that he recorded a video of it, although there is no video, and no kid has proof that there ever was and he was suspended for 10 days of school. They said that "we only have to believe two students to get the others in trouble". The assistant principle is the one who gave him the ten day suspension and has been known for taking it easy on the black kids and harsh on the white kids, which is exactly what happened in this case. Because the black kid "told the truth" is what they said he is free to go. But they also mentioned that the kid who "told the truth" was the one who admitted to drinking. So long story short they are going off the word of a 17 year old kid (black kid) who also admitted to being drunk when all of this happened. I'm thinking legal action should be taken because this has happened so many times to us now but I don't know how to go about it.
