drink losts of water, its good for your skin as well as helps to "flush" toxins out of your body and make sure to have pleanty of proteine in your diet, lean protein helps curb hunger and prevent the loss of lean muscle when loseing weight. Walking is the best exercise you can do, 30-60 min a day of any activity, even simple things like parking farther away at the grocery store add up. good luck finding what works for YOU, most important feel good about yourself, give yourself small goals and when you reach them give yourself a reward like a new shirt or a pair of earings

I wanted to lose some of the post pregnancy weight too. I joined a gym that had a daycare onsite so that I could take them when I workout. I go to the classes 4-5 days a week and have been watching what I eat by stopping when I'm full, drinking lots of fluids, trying to make healthier snack choices. I have noticed that after a month or so of this my clothes are already fitting better and I have more energy. Also- if you have cable TV sometimes you can get fitness programs ON DEMAND. I do those workouts when I can't make it to the gym. I try to sneak those in while the kids are napping. I just tell myself that the chores will have to wait- my health comes before dishes and laundry. Hope you find something that works for you!

the 30 shred is a DVD by Jillian Micheals from Biggest Loser. Like the pp said, 2lbs a week is safe and healthy, any more than that is not a good idea unless you are being supervised by a health professional.
Eat 5-6 small meals a day, lots of water, and AT LEAST 30 minutes of exercise a day
I am in the same situation. I want to lose the last bit of baby weight. My son is over 2 and I am very upset over the extra weight. I lost 10 pounds before Christmas and since then gained it all back because I stopped with my program. What works for me is exercise combined with a low carbohydrate and high protein diet. I eat a lot of vegetables and fruits and cut back on portions and eliminate snacking. Drink a lot of water. I didn't eat starches at dinner and didn't have anything to eat after 7:30-8:00 at night. I need to get back with the diet but it is hard to get motivated. I am trying to get my husband to diet with me. It will help me greatly if there are no snack food in the house and he always wants me to buy chips, cookies, and ice cream. Good luck to you!

Also.......8 lbs in 2 weeks?!?! That is SO unhealthy and a sure fire way to have excess skin. Keep in mind that a healthy weight loss is about 2 lbs a week. Anything over that is not healthy and will most likely go RIGHT back on when you're done your "diet".

Depends on how much weight you want to lose. If you're talking 5-10 lbs, that's something you can do with a slight change of your eating habits and a lot of walking. Also, how much caffeine, juice, coffee, tea do you take in? If you REALLY want to lose weight, cut out any liquid but water.
Personally, after gaining 70lbs being pregnant with my son, what worked for me was weight watchers. And, of course, TONS of walking. Consider this: Instead of taking your car somewhere, take your child out for a walk to where you need to go.

Get up. Diets suck. You may need to change your diet some but the key is to get up and move.
I'm not totally overweight but I'm hideously out of shape. If you have a PS2 or 3 get the dance dance revolution stuff - those are FUN and a half hour of those are equal to an an exercise class. Dance - I used to go dancing 3 times a week and with kids and being married I don't do that any more - that was HOURS of dancing too. When the kids are in school I dance while I do dishes. I focus on keeping my stomach muscles tight and exaggerating my movements. I only do this when the kids are in school other wise the laughter is distracting!!
Cut out twinkies, ho-hos and halve your dessert at night. My husband is completely addicted to those little premade cake thingies and I would have one when ever I felt peckish. Now if someone wants one - I buy a single package at the checkout, not a whole box.
Now if I'm shopping and I want one, I get one. But there isn't a whole box at home tempting me!
I also quit eating just to empty my plate. I feel terribly guilty about what I don't eat but I realised I was eating just to empty my plate. Sometimes I would eat the last strip of bacon of the kids plates or the left over scrambled eggs just so they wouldn't be thrown out. Now the pigeons enjoy a high cholesterol diet....
