I wouldn't recommend getting pregnant on BC, because some studies have showed that taking BC while pregnant can lead to low birth weight or premature birth, also you increase your risk of having an ectopic pregnancy. Also its a BAD idea to get pregnant if your partner isn't ready! If your boyfriend isn't ready you really shouldn'y try to trick or deceive him by making him think your not trying to get pregnant when you really are...because when he finds out he may run or he may stay with you for a while but resent you.

Bottom line, it isn't good until both of you are ready and you are off the pill and it's out of your system.

When I was younger my first child's father and I decided not to have kids and we ended up having a surprise pregnancy, I became excited from that big surprise and he wasn't at all. After she was born he ended up leaving us once she turned a year old because he "wasn't ready". So I had to raise her myself along with his mom and stepdad. I'm glad I had her but never expect the guy to stay with you.

So moral of the story is, wait if you can because it will forever change your life whether it's positive or a negative thing.

Stop a couple of months before you want to get pregnant. Then use natural ways, counting days, condoms... I am not sure about this but I believe some woman need time to get pregnant after birth control. Maybe it is different for you.

I also got pregnant while on BC and had no ill effects. My daughter was 8lbs and perfectly normal.

I got pregnant on bc because I was taking antibiotics and my baby was totally healthy and was 7lb 8 oz at birth. Also have friends that got pregnant on bc an their babies were all fine. So that just proves birth defects on bc is a bunch of malarkey ! When you get off your chances of getting pregnant actually increases. I got pregnant with my third right away a few months after I got off the bc. But maybe just talk with your bf about it before you do it so it doesn't come off as sneaky.

OK, it sounds to me like you're actually trying to figure out how soon after you stop BC you can get pregnant. Because the whole point of BC is NOT to get pregnant. I got pregnant the month after I stopped birth control. I was using Nuva Ring at the time. It depends on what type of BC you're using.

If your boyfriend is not ready to have children, it might be wise to wait until the both of you are ready. But as far as a birth control that allows you to get "pregnant" purposely--that type of birth control doesn't exist. At least it sure wouldn't be in business for long if it did. As the purpose of birth control, is so you WON'T get pregnant. Yes, there are plenty of people who have gotten pregnant on birth control but I don't think they were trying to get pregnant, it just happened. Not sure if there is some method or even a YouTube video on "How to Get Pregnant on Birth Control." Why not wait until your boyfriend is ready. Then stop taking whatever you are using and let it work its way out of your system and THEN get pregnant.

You really shouldn't be thinking about getting pregnant again until you're BOTH ready to have another child. Then when the time is right, you stop taking your birth control.

The point of birth control is to not have kids, that is why women take it. There is no 'strategy' for getting pregnant on birth control, though not all birth controls are effective for all women. I, myself got pregnant on the Depo Shot, it didn't work for me but I was in no way trying to get pregnant. It just happened.

Actually, Danicia, there is no research evidence of that. There is also little evidence in anecdotes that this is the case. If it were, then birth control would be taken off the market, given the number of women who do use it while pregnant at some time in the first trimester.

you do realize that there is a reason they say not to take bc if you suspect or are pregnant right? getting pregnant while on bc can result in birth defects and health concerns for you and baby.

Actually when the hubby and I wanted another child the doctor told me to wait a few months to try and conceive after it was out of my system because it's not good to try while just stopping or being on it.

I'd say quit the BC a few months before you're year mark you want to conceive at. I highly doubt you would get preggo being on BC because it's used so you won't get pregnant

Another thing, wait until your man is on board with the whole thing too, you don't want him to become upset or resentful towards you.

You can get pregnant any time you have sex... with or without birth control.

If your boyfriend wants to wait... wait and have a child together when you are both ready.

I think the best thing would be to not worry about how to get pregnant. You may want to address your intentions with your boyfriend, because essentially what you are wanting to do it trick your boyfriend into thinking it was an accident, which will not be good for your growing family. Let your body take it's own course and become pregnant when it is ready.

So, basically, your boyfriend is being sensible, and you are wanting to go against that?

Great way to cause a split, and extra stress of court hearings, custody, visitation & support.

If he's not fully behind you for another kid, YOU NEED TO WAIT. Both of you need to be in agreement, and I recommend stopping bc before you ttc.

I'm with Jodi, this is a very confusing post.
When you are ready then stop BC, there could be a lot of problems and an increased chance of miscarriage if you fall pregnant while on BC.

Huh? Why would you want to get pregnant while on birth control? Just wait until you are both ready and then stop taking it. What you are suggesting makes no sense.
