I have lots of baby clothes building up. 0-6mths. I know there are people struggling in the community who really need the help but I don't know where to go.

Hi, i do charity drives to care centres with my church. We get donations and supply them to single moms who are abused and pregnant. If you would like to donate them to us it would certainly make a difference in someones life. You can email me or inbox me on facebook. Hope you come right though.

I have a questions. Do You know someone who throws his clothes after his daughter? i'm apologize, but i don't speak English very well. I have a two- tear daughter. I live in Poland with my mom, brother, sister and husband. We live in a skyscraper (28 our house is 28 square meters). I'm not working because i it takes care of my daughter. In Poland everything is expensive so i so I thought I'd write to you. If you know someone who throws all the accessories for children (Clothes, toys, bottle, books, teats etc) please, help me. I accept all that unnecessary. Please only write what you want in return.

Go to www.freecycle.org http://www.freecycle.org/

It's a group through Yahoo. Basically, the idea of the group is that one person's trash is another person's treasure. You join the group in your area and post a message saying what you are wanting to give away. People contact you via email and you make arrangements to meet them somewhere to give away your stuff. I always do it during the day in a crowded place like the Wal Mart parking lot or the grocery store parking lot (for safety reasons). I've given LOTS of baby stuff away through this program and it feels really good. You actually get the satisfaction of handing it to the person who will be using it. I used to drop things off at Salvation Army and Good Will but it used to bother me that they would take and sell my things instead of giving them to the needy. Freecycle is awesome....your stuff goes to the person you choose. It's a good feeling. Plus, I've met some really nice people out there in my community who have turned around and given me things for my son. I'd say that about half of my son's wardrobe came from Freecycle and out of that at least 80% of the clothing was BRAND NEW with tags. Just moms that over bought (like we all do lol). Anyhow...good luck and I hope this helped.

I drop off clothes to my local WIC office. They usually keep a box out front and they never charge $$ for them. Also, a lot of doctors offices have donation bins. I don't like to donate to salvation army or goodwill because they just charge money.

I find a friend or a family member that is pregnant or is going to need that size of clothes. Then when my children a getting close to that size clothes I get them back. Example: I have a 7 year old that is going into size 10, the clothes too small for her gets saved for her sister that is 4, after she grows out of the clothes they go to my niece, and then to her moms sister for her girl, then back to me for my 10 month old. So the clothes get very good use out of them.

We have a couple of Crisis Pregnancy Centers around here, and I have dropped stuff off with them before.

I donate my clothes and my children's clothes to the local Women's Shelter / Domestic Violence Shelter. Most women that leave violent homes with their children in tow do so without much time to gather many belongings before they leave.

Try visiting local churches, homeless shelters, or battered women's shelters. They often know of a family or mulitple families that could really use your assistance and would gladly accept it. If not, a lot of shelters have thrift shops to raise money for their shelter. If the people there don't directly need the items, they can sell them to other people (most likely not in the most prosperous situation anyways) to help continue the purpose of the shelter. Yay for you for being so generous and conscious of a need in your community! Too many people would not even consider giving away if there was a chance they could profit from the stuff. Hope this helps! :)
