If you have had this problem then you know how bad it is. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do to make it a little better on me? I have already looked all over the internet and really have found anything that would help me. I was already in the ER for this. I was put on IV fluids and nausea medicine. They also prescribed me nausea medicine and pain pills (that I won't take because right after I started taking them they automatically made me constipated). I am sick on a daily basis even though I have been put on nausea medicine. Usually I can't take my nausea medicine until I know that my stomach is completely empty...bile and all. But I did read somewhere that sometimes that's all you can do is throw up until you are throwing up deep bile. Any better suggestions than throwing up until you can't possibly throw up anymore would be great! I can barely do anything anymore because I am sick all of the time.

I had to take the nausea medication (Maxolon) every 8 hours without fail to get through the day. It is very important to get the timing right because otherwise it is off to hospital to have the same drug IV. Obviously if you get into a bad cycle of vomitting you won't be able to keep the tablet down long enough for it to be absorbed.

Throughout the pregnancy it was a matter of eating a small amount often. Early on I found ginger tea really useful.

The good news is with my second pregnancy (a boy) I had absolutely no morning sickness. From one extreme to another!

Good luck.

I really doubt it is stress, but try and take things as easy as you can. I had to stop work for 6 weeks. It was hard financially but as I said I couldn't even walk to have a shower without being sick. And a warm bath does help. Put your feet up and just relax! It won't disappear like that it will take time, but remember your baby should be fine. What you can keep down she'll grab the nutrients off, that's all why you might feel even crappier. She'll be getting all the good!

Nothing worked. I was sick the entire time, practically from conception till birth but it eased off a lot in the 3rd trimester. "eased off a lot" as compared to the first trimester, but I was still nauseated daily and in general felt shitty.

Hot baths helped. But no - nothing really made it go away. I had to change what I ate and when I had issues gaining weight. But in the end it all turned out ok.

I had it too. Didn't take the medicine coz it didn't work. Nothing worked. I went into hospital at 5 weeks.......had a drip to up my fluid levels. Couldn't even drink water. But it did get better at around 15 weeks. I had it really bad but eat what you can drink water even if you throw it up. I was on bed rest coz moving to have a shower made me sick. I kept my energy up with Hydrolyte Icypoles, also fruit was good, and a nice cuppa in the morning. It helped somedays but not all days. Good luck.

I was really sick. I would come home from work everyday, take a shower if I could do it and curl myself into a ball underneath the covers at home with a plastic bag at my side and water. I would rock back and forth in the ball for five hours. Sometimes than the morning sickness would ease up at about 12am or so. In the ball, I would call friends and family for encouragment. In the ball, I listened to music and tried to relax. I would play stupid games online toget my mind off of the pain I felt. I would call my husband up and he would bring me fresh lemonade. That was the best I could do and try to keep drinking do i didn't end up in the hospital.

Thank you all so much for helping. I felt a lot better yesterday but I think it was because I went to bed early for once and also took a warm bath before that. Also they prescribed me a higher dose of my nausea medicine that I just started yesterday. Hopefully they will help better than the low dose did. I actually ate three meals yesterday and none of it came back up. Yesterday was probably the best I have felt in months. I have just been trying to eat whenever I feel well enough and have been trying to keep as many nutrient in as I can so that I don't end up just wasting away. Anyways thanks again!

Well my doctor did tell me that it should be getting better and should be over by 20 weeks if not a whole lot better. It just doesn't seem like it. My thing is that they say that it starts with the first pregnancy and then you have it with the rest but I didn't have this with the other two. What I'm wondering is if it isn't something else that may be causing this. Stress maybe or other health problems.

Dear, you have my sympathies. I did it three times. Each time I swore I would never do it again, lol.

Let us know how it goes and if the docs find something that helps!!
