Women say they see their periods even up to 6months before they realise that they are pregnant. I wonder how this can happen without them noticing any sign of pregnancy. No bump too at that stage? I still see my period and I feel some crams in stomach and legs too. Did home test and its negative. Feel tired and sleep a lot. Crave for food and am gaining weight. Waiting to do a scan to know if I'm pregnant cos I still feel some tingling in breast and movement in tummy. I just wonder why the period still comes.

Everyone is different. Believe it or not, it is more common than you think. It will generally not be a normal period, it may be lighter or irregular, but around 25% of women will experience bleeding during pregnancy that they attribute to being a period. It has something to do with the hormones being released.

Some women don't show. Some women don't have symptoms. Some even have their monthly cycle all the way through.

One of my friends didn't change size at all. She had a 10 lb baby, and was wearing a size 3 jeans before, during and immediately after her pregnancy. No "bump" at all.

It depends where the baby sits. With my first, you could barely even tell I was pregnant until I was about 6 months. I also didn't put on much weight (maybe 2-3 kg) up until that point. I didn't even start wearing maternity clothes until 6 months!!
