Ideas for a sweet sixteen party

My daughter is kind of shy allow she does have lots of friends at school. Unfortunately my husband and I are divorced, although we remain very good friends and parents, and money is a constant concern. She is very sweet and doesn't want me to have to spend money. I feel so bad, she has been so understanding but I don't think she should have to miss out on life long memories from turning 16. What can I do to make this a memorable day?

Thats very nice that your daughter is understanding and that she said you shouldnt spend alot. In the country i live,we dont do sweet 16. Does she want to do something with her friends? You could go bowling or to the cinema. Or if the weather is nice you could go to a lake and have a bbq party.
