Hi, I'm in the processing of adopting my first child, the baby is due in September, gender unknown. However due to...things, I'm about to have custody of some of my brothers children. His ex-wife has his oldest, but I'll have his second oldest who turns 3 in May, his 7 m and his girlfriend will deliver the youngest in November; so thats a 3 year old, a 1 year old and two newborns. I'm going to be a single parent so I can only have 1 stroller; any ideas... And no his ex is only the mother of the oldest who will be 5 in November.

I have told the agency and they said that it shouldn't be a problem, but they are double checking to make sure everything goes smoothly. I'm hoping that my brother gets his act together and that he and his girlfriend don't need me to take their kids, because the one thing that they do seem to be good at is being parents.

For stroller advise I would suggest a triplet stroller. Put the three younger ones in it and the 3 yr old can hold onto the stroller.

A side comment: I work in adoption so reading your post brings up some questions for me. First, does the agency you are adopting from know about you getting custody of these three children? If they do not you need to notify them of that. As an adoption worker I would have concerns on getting so many young children places at one time. Especially two unrelated newborns. If you have not already you need to be in communication with your worker about this so she/he can advise you on how to proceed, otherwise it could affect the placement of the child you are adopting. There are post placement visits the worker will need to do for at least 6 months after placement to determine if she/he would recommend that placement. If you have not communicated this with them you could get placement, but have it taken away as you have not been forth coming with them.
