My 8 year old just had her second set of neurological testing done. ALL of her score have drastically gone down. She does attend public school and has been on an IEP since pre-K. She is now in 2nd grade and is ridiculously behind the rest of her peers. At every IEP meeting the school tells me how well she is doing yet I now have concrete evidence that proves otherwise. Both the Psychologist who administered the tests and her Psychiatrist say she is not on the right track with her IEP and that she needs more intense attention from the teacher and the IEP drastically modified to address all the issues. My daughter was tested using the Woodcock Johnson Test of Achievement (WJ III). She was tested in 2010 and 2012. Just to give a brief idea of her scores on the testing.... Broad reading scores went from 80 to 62, Broad Written Language went from 67 to 60, and Broad math from 81 to 57. Yet.... the school tells me she is progressing well!!??!! What can I ask for to have the IEP changed? I have yet to find an advocate or liason to help with these issues. I flat out don't think the school knows what it's doing and my child is suffering because of this. Any help, advise or direction in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
