Oh, and if you offer this in the autism/aspergers/pdd awareness group, I bet you get a ton more questions.

If they make a change in programming, how long do they have to reflect that change in the IEP? They changed my son from a special needs only to an integrated class but the IEP still says a special needs class. While I am THRILLED that he has made enough progress to be put into a normal class, I am concerned about what that means for his services. They did not make any change to his IEP for several months and then when they did, it was very vague saying he would receive services "as needed, in or out of the class." What they explain is rather than the specialists being in the class most of the day, as they were in the special needs class, they would come in and work with my son either in the class, or if that was too distracting, outside of the class and it would be with other children (not one on one, as had been explained to me originally) as it was appropriate. I want things a bit more specific for the next IEP, am I being unreasonable?

Individualized Education Program...for special education.

Jeanna, maybe you could start a community or join a community, of parents with special needs children. You'll be more likely to find parents who need help that way. Kudos to you for wanting to help!
