just for fun i want to know what all you other moms would do if you could choose the gender/order of your children! from the begining of my marriage (when i started thinking about having kids) i wanted a son and then a daughter (my reasoning was so that he could beat up the guys that break my daughters heart! haha) and luckily enough i was blessed with 2 children, in said order! but i was talking to my husband last night and he said he would have rather had 2 boys so he didnt have to worry about a daughter running around, being well, a girl!! haha! oh dads.. and i said that had my son been a girl i think i would have wanted 2 girls and no boys (even though it would be the end of our family name) dont ask me why, i think it would just be easier i guess!

I have a boy, which is what I always wanted. And if I have more, I hope they are boys too lol Me being the mother of a daughter scares the shit outta me!

I already have a son (one next month) and I really want a girl.. When I have my second if it's a boy I will still be happy but I know I will still want a girl so I will probly have another one! But if it's a girl I think I will be finished! Lol

I always wanted a girl first, i guess because I was the only girl in my family and my partners parents only had boys. I currently have a 12 month old little girl and am about to start trying again. Im determined this one is going to be a boy but ill take what i get

LOL i always said i wanted 2 boy first girl second for the same reason you stated i had an older brother who did that for me it was great. i ended up with 2 boys and i honestly would not want it any other way, boys fight and its done girls can hold on to things and blow them way out of proportion causing more problems... not ot say girls arn't great but i love my boys

Both hubby and I agree that we want 2 boys, then a girl. Baby #1 is a boy...baby #2 due in April so we'll see what he/she turns out to be.
I really want to have a girl at some point, but I would rather have 3 boys than 3 girls.....don't think me or hubby could deal with the girl teenage dramas hahaha

I have one of each and there is no way to choose. Each is so different and so special in their own way. I was blessed!

I have one son (16 months old) & I want another boy. At this point, I'm not sure I'd know what to do with a girl haha. But, if we end up having a girl next, I'll be super excited too. I know my husband would love a girl next.

I wanted a boy than a girl for the same reason as you Cori. But my first is a daughter and we have yet to have our second child (still a couple more years!) I'm hoping to get a boy in there so my fiances family name can live on (his brother has two daughters!) but we shall see!

We really wanted a boy, mostly because we already were set on the name Vance Anthony...I had wanted to name my kid that for the longest time and my Fiance liked it too. We ended up finding out we were having a girl and then had to think about a middle name to go with Paige because we were really undecided (couldnt agree) about it. We ended up with a Kylie Marie. Now that I have a daughter, I dont think I would know how to hang out with a boy...I mean, my daughter already is into the blow dryer, nail polish, make up, etc...What on earth would I give a little boy to play with while I do my make up? Would he have liked the same things? I feel like having a daughter came naturally and think a boy would have been a bit weird. lol. Of course, I may have thought having a girl would be weird if I had gotten a boy =]

I originally wanted a boy then girl and then another girl. Girls rule in both sides of the family...even the dog is a girl.

I figured I would have had all girls. Up until our son, all my husband's brothers had had girls. Figured his Dad had all the boy sperm since his parents had 4 boys and one girl! LOL Our first was a girl. Shocking. Our second-I know the night I missed my period and got the positive pregnancy test that I was having a boy. My father-in-law had passed away suddenly barely 2yrs before. We had just given up trying for our second child. Our daughter was 5 and well after 5 years-we were wrung out and tired. Surprise, I was pregnant. That night when I slept, I dreamt of my father-in-law and e told me how happy and proud of us he was. He also told me he would be honored to have his grandson named after him. His grandson is now 8 and carries on his Pappa's name proudly. I would not change anything for the world. I love the age difference-7yrs. My daughter is a fierce protector of her baby brother and my son is a fierce protector of his big sis.
