If you were given $25,000 today what would you do with it?

What would you do to get your family in a better situation? Pay off car loans? Down payment on a house? etc...

A few years ago my husbands dad died and we did get $25 000. We bought a car lol. We're both kind of kicking ourselves but we did need a decent car instead of the shit box we used to have that always broke down.

Hi Ashley,
I dont have many friends so I would buy some. I love spending money on my friends. It makes me feel good. {:+)

I would pay off all the bills, put a nice down payment on a new home, and take a much needed family vacation.

first I'd find out how much I'd have to keep out for taxes. I'd just pay off the vehicles and blow the rest. Kids would love one of those swings that both can ride on, a zoo pass, new clothes for all of us. New work boots for daddy. We'd only have a mtg payment if cars were paid off. would make life so much easier.

My hubby and I would pay off our debt and then we'd hire a lawyer to handle all this legal crap we're dealing with (we're trying to move overseas to Australia) and make our move. Then we'd probably put a down payment on a house in our new country and start our new adventure with the kids :)

pay off car loan, get out of cell contract and switch to walmart mobile, start CD savings for both kids, pay rent a few months in advance, get hubby better vehicle...

These are just a few things I would do but its really hard because 25k does not go as far as you would think.

Easy! $10,000 on our home loan, $5000 for a holiday, $1000ea into our kids trust accounts and the rest on our line of credit to help pay off the car!

Use it as a house deposit or put it in an account to save up for a house deposit.

I would donate some to my favorite charities that help the "helpless", and put some away for my son's college. Give some to the churches that have helped me 15 years ago. Put some away for emergencies. And pay off any bills we may have.

Pay off our debt and put the rest of it towards a down payment for a house.

I'd phone up the fertility clinic, get my bloodwork in order, and start looking for another egg donor.

Pay off the car loan and credit cards, set aside $2,000 for the next 2 oil fill ups to heat the house(just filled up and it was $954). That leaves me with $5,000. I would probably set it aside for when we build our house.

I actually did... and we are almost out of debt because of it. If we got another set, we'd buy a house.

I'd pay off the credit cards, plan a family vacation, and then put the rest in the bank account as a rainy day fund!

I don't owe any money. I think I'd save it for a rainy day. I'd probably give some of it away to a charity - I have a few that are my favourites.

pack a bag and take a vacation BY myself. I'd go to a beach somewhere chill for a week no phone, no internet no work no school and i'd worry about everything else when I got back.

then i'd be responsible, pay bills, pay off hubby's car, trade mine in put some down on student loans and put the rest in savings

Go on a date night with my husband!!!! Our last date night without our daughter was on my birthday last October...and before that it was before we had our daughter back in 2009!!!! And then of course...pay some bills....like rent for a whole year.....that would be amazing. Great question :)
