I heard castor oil is dangerous for a woman and baby. And there's not too much you can do to speed it up unfortunately, I mean I woulda said sex but hey I know what you mean when you say it's uncomfortable. And whatever you do, if you hear about the eating a whole pineapple thing don't do it LOL you either end up puking or sitting on the toilet as if you just ate a whole box of exlax.... TMI, but it's the truth :P

this is my second child... very hard to rest as my daughter is 2... only time I get to rest is when she is in bed ... witch is the time I get the house clean an then off to bed I got... she was two weeks later after my due date because my servix would not open up... or I would not dilate. an after the two weeks of being over due the hospital tried to put me into labor an nothing would happen an they had to give me a c-cetion... witch was not very fun... so that's some of why Im trying to go into labor natural or try things that may help me go into labor... an being so big now is just so hard to get things done... ive tried castol oil with my first but nothing happen... I was gonna try it this time around but read some scarry things about it.... so not to sure about that any more... I try walking a bit each day... ive tried sex but it hurts an its so uncompteble ... an im just so excited for this baby I just want him to be here now ... :) thanks for everyones advice

I know its hard but try and enjoy the last weeks, rest, read books or just watch tv.Or go walking. I dont know if its your first but if it is and you have free time enjoy it as much as you can because once the baby is born you will have tons of things to do and very little time just for yourself. I went to 40+1day...the last 2weeks i rested alot and enjoyed being at home doing basicly nothing. Btw sex is good to get things going..no joke!Good luck

But as for my last week I only walked and I'd rest a lot. Your body needs to rest and prepare itself. Good luck!

Oh god that was me too. I began doing breathing exercises and when I felt pain or contractions I'd take a hot bath. I'd also drink tea and as tired as I was is put in my running shoes and go for a 15-30 minute walk. Another thing u can try is squatting. Try keeping yourself entertained so time can go by quicker

I went almost 42 weeks. Your body is preparing itself. If you try to rush the process, then you could set yourself up for more complications than you need. Just try to relax. Sleep as much as possible. Watch some tv. Your body is using this time to prepare your cervix to open easier and faster. Your body is pumping in more relaxin to make it easier for your baby to pass through your pelvis. Your baby is having the final touches done to the lungs. I think that the point of the last few weeks is to make you so uncomfortable that you crave labor. I know I did.

It will come. Try to enjoy doing stuff for yourself for a little while since after baby is here, baby is all time consuming.

I remember that my son was so low in my pelvis for about 8 weeks. It felt like walking around with a bowling ball between my legs. I also remember waking up every 20 minutes at night to pee. That was not fun. But my son eventually came.
