You can take Tums (watch for the daily max). You can also try sleeping somewhat upright if at all possible.

I would think vinegar would give you way worse heartburn but what works for one may work for another but it may not... I think I would be trying Zantec... hehehee It doesn't taste, since it is a pill you swallow.

ew, really, vinegar? Does it work? Have to try that this time around ;)

Yeah, I 'got it' from water too, but staying hydrated during the day helped me from having such bad HB that it would roll into really bad contractions! Crazy.

Oh and I would get it from water also, anything at all... I had wicked heart burn with my 1st child too but not where I would stop breathing during sleep, only for my 2nd... Maybe because he was a boy! LOL

My heartburn was so bad I would stop breathing when I was sleeping - it's called GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease) but only during my pregnancy. I would wake up not being able to breath and run down my stairs trying to get a breath. I didn't realize this was what it was until I researched it. It was FREAKIN scary!

I went to my doctor and she prescribed Zantec. It is completly fine for the baby, actually it was what they prescribe a newborn with acid reflux issues.

You don't have to have GERD to use Zantec, it is used for basic heart burn as well. That was just my crazy story and experiencemy 2nd time around! LOL

1/2 tsp of baking soda in 4ozs of water. It works instantly and lasts a hell of lot longer than tums. You can also use Mylanta because it is a liquid it coats the lining better than a tums. I am also 37wks so trust me I can relate.

At that point with my kids I was popping Tums like candy. Not something that will solve the problem, but a Tums can help. And water. Lots of water. But again, nothing fixes it except birth. Sorry, Hope it eases soon!
