No. It's just the luck of the draw. I read about this couple in England, both parents were black/white mixed. They had a set of twin girls. One girl turned out very dark with dark brown eyes and black hair, the other twin came out very pale with blond hair and blue eyes. The doctors said it was an extremely rare case but could happen. Six years later the same couple had another set of twin girls, same thing happened.

Genetics are weird. It is just a game of "Let's see if this works".

Thanks Jodi=) I kinda figured that because out of my Dads four other siblings who is blonde/red hair and blue or brown eyes he is the only dark brown hair with green eyes! my mom is hispanic fair skin brown hair brown eyes but adopted so i dont know her gene pool!? it just concerns me because my husband is pretty dark black hair brown eyes and im olive tone with dark brown hair and eyes! my 6 year old daughter is tan with verrryyy kinky hair and can definitly tell she is mixed! I absolutly loooovvveee my little guy but never thought i would have a blue eyed blonde hair child! Is there more of a genetic factor according to sex of child?

Genetics. Somewhere in both of your backgrounds, and therefore in at least half of your genes, there is blonde hair and blue eyes, and your son ended up with the recessive genes. It happens. I can't give you a genetics lesson here, but it is worth googling the way hair colour and eye colour work with respect to heredity and genetics.
