Im expecting but how do I potty train my 13 month old?
You should wait until your new baby is born. At 13 months, a child does not yet have enough control over their bodies to potty train. Plus, she would likely regress once the new baby is born and you'll end up doing it all over again. It's best to wait until she is about 2 and a half to 3 and a half years old. She will show signs that she is ready. If you try to do it before she is ready, you will have a big battle on your hands, and she will be more likely to regress during any major changes in her life in the future--it is actually very common for children who were potty trained to regress and start having accidents when they start school....but I don't know how reliable that fact is. I heard it from a child mental health professional, but have never fact checked it....

I hate to break the bad news to you but at 13 months a child still has no power over their going potty yet. Their organs that function for potty time have not fully developed yet. It won't be until age 2 to 3 that she will be really ready to do anything. Plus at this age they do not understand the potty yet.
