im having really bad hip and tailbone pain this will be the third day ive been dealing with this pain. im 36 weeks and 6 days pregnant and im getting these sharp pains in my hips that wont go away. turning in bed is painful, same with laying down, walking, standing anything. my stomach gets really tight and i already lost my mucus plug a few days ago. my doc said im 1 cm dilated but i feel like my hips are being broken apart and my tail bones being smashed.. what does this mean and how can i get some comfort for it?

It means baby is dropping into the birthing canal which in turns means putting all the stress and pressure on those ligaments and muscles. Pretty common in late pregnancy. I had the same problem with our son. I know it's painful however it goes away as soon as you give birth. Hang in there and good luck!

it is quite difficult times since you are at your last few days, if it still presists i would rather see a midwife sinc it could be an obstruction of some kind that the baby is ready to be in place but not quite due to this obstuction and your body could be alerting something is wrong - therfore go and see your midwife soonest..
