im having trouble potty training my girl, any tips?

my daughter essence is almost 2 now and i am trying to potty train her. she wil use it sometimes, but not often, so im trying to get her to sit on it after she has her meals and drinks. but she gets right upset, then i have trouble getting her to sit on it. falls on the the floor, screams and kicks. so what do i do? i need help

I would give it a break for a while. Both of my sons were 3 when I potty trained them and it didn't take long. When they are ready it won't be as much of a struggle. I agree with the previous post. Leave the potty chair out and let her get used to it in a comfortable, non-pressure way, so it feels natural to her. And when she sets on it, make it a positive experience, whether she goes in it or not!

it sounds as thought she may not be completely ready...she's still pretty young so i would suggest giving it a break and trying again in a few weeks...leave the potty out so she can get more comfy with it (perhaps try getting her to sit on it fully clothed and read her a story). if you keep going and she's getting that upset it's going to take you a very long time because she'll resist it. good luck
