Belly sleeping doesn't hurt your baby. It's whatever is most comfortable for you, especially since sleep can be fleeting as you progress. I just had my 3rd baby and slept on my front, slightly on my right side, with my left leg propped out a little, with all 3. If I slept on my back, my back would hurt like crazy (also could cause circulation issues in the later stages), if I slept on my side, my hips would be very stiff when I woke up. So, if you're comfortable, go for it as long as you want.

I have 2 healthy teenage daughters, I got huge with both pregnancies. I had been told I couldn't sleep on my belly when pregnant so I asked my doctors about it and they said that it was a comfort issue NOT in issue about the baby. I slept on my stomach throughout both of my pregnancies. It is the ONLY way I have ever slept comfortably and being pregnant didn't change that for me. It truly is about what is comfortable for you. Good luck and congratulations

I slept on my stomach until I got uncomfortable but it wouldn't hurt for you to start now. I was always a stomach sleeper until I got really big. It probably wasn't a great idea but I had no problems. It can be hard to fall asleep if you aren't in your usual position though. I slept on my side with my leg up against the mattress kind of like I was marching or putting it around a pillow and it felt more like I was on my stomach. Hope this helps!

For both of my pregnancies as soon as I found out I started to sleep on my side. I figured if I got use to it sooner then I would sleep better when I started to show. What I did was put a pillow between my legs and one by my belly on the side I was sleeping on. Within a week or 2 I got use to it and was able to sleep comfortably. Mind you by the end of both pregnanies I couldn't wait to be able to sleep on my belly again. Good Luck and Congrats!!!!!

if i remember correctly you should stop after a month or two, but i am a stomach sleeper and i slept on my stomach until 2-3 months, I just based it on comfort. once my stomach started to get bigger I switched to side sleeping...hope this helps :)
