Implantation bleeding or period?

4 weeks ago I had a period, least that's what I thought it was, and it lasted 3 days. Yesterday I took an at home test and was positive. While I am excited and so is my fiance, I thought I wouldn't have tested positive so early. Is it normal to test positive this early? Or could I be further than I think? Like could my "period" have really been implantation bleeding? Or is it normal to test positive this early? I have irregular periods. So I could have gotten pregnant while on my period.

If you took an early response test, it could be possible to test positive. Depending on stress and other factors, women can ovulate at different times, so unless you're tracking ovulation, you don't know when it's happening.

Why are you having unprotected sex before you're married and stable? Sounds like you have a lot going on with the custody of your fiancé's son, that it might not be the best time to bring another child into the equation. Just saying.

If you have an implant, you might test positive for pregnancy. The only way to know for sure is if you were to go to a doctor.
