In home childcare. How do you charge during holidays?

Does anyone keep kids at home? I keep 3 kids and am listed with the government. I charge by the week but am unsure how to handle the holidays. Should parents pay for a full week even if they don't bring there kids during holidays?

The at home daycare we looked at would of required us to pay for a week even if the kids weren't there. In the contract it also stated that the daycare provider would get 2 weeks paid vacation per year, and she was not open on holidays but I believe you still had to pay. We didn't agree with the contract so we chose to work opposite shifts so that one of us is always with the kids, but I do believe it's common that you pay by the week/month regardless of a holiday.

My mom charged per month and it was a place holder, it didn't matter about holidays. Although she would charge less if we were going on vacation.
