Wow, Lyndy, would you care to share the "secrets of my past" with me? At this point, I'm not aware of any!

I'm honest, up front, (sometimes brutally so!) If you, my dear, in your nursing career, feel that you can handle the liability of diagnosing OVER THE INTERNET, please feel free to do so on a website of your own making and design. On THIS website? We encourage people to seek actual medical opinions, rather than armchair internet diagnoses...

I stand by my post: ARE you a physician? (No, you aren't you're a STUDENT, and not a medical student, but a nursing student. HUGE difference in curricula.) Best of luck in your schooling, and your chosen profession. The world needs good nurses!

PS: The SUGGESTION about contraceptives...is simply that, a suggestion. Using contraceptives would greatly reduce all of these "how do I know" questions!

Yikes! While the odds may point to the latter of the two partners, you cannot be sure. If you ovulated early, and the first man's sperm lived for up to 96 hours (rare but possible) he could be the dad. Sadly, you will most likely have to wait until delivery to do a DNA test. There are some tests that can be done prenatally: amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling, but since they are both expensive and pose a risk to the mother and baby, most doctors won't do them to establish paternity.

I fell pregnant with my 3rd the day after my period finished. It's the only day I had sex that month, so Lyndy-Ann, you can't tell for sure who the Father is.
OP: You will have to take a DNA test once the baby is born.

Why do people insist on jumping into bed with all these different casual people so quickly? If people actually built relationships, these things wouldn't happen and mothers would know who fathered their babies.

Anyway, noone here can tell you who the father is. You will need a DNA test when baby is born. And given your LMP was 17 December, have you even confirmed you are pregnant yet? Seems pretty soon to have confirmation.

How long are your cycles? If your periods are about every 28 days, then the Jan 3rd guy is probably the one. If your cycle is closer to 21 days, it's probably the Dec 22nd guy. But Sarah is right, ovulation could really happen at any time. So, the only way to know for sure is to get a paternity test done after delivery.

I am one of those people that ovulate on their last day of their period. How do I know? Got pregnant twice that way. So, truthfully, it could be either father. Sorry Sandy, but you will have to wait until baby arrives to find out who baby daddy is.

We forgot Sandy needs our support! And I hope things work out so she will not have to even think of abortion! Sarah E gave a nice point I had no idea we can become pregnant while having our cycly!! I learn here so continue to teach and support. We all need someone at one point or the other. I hope Sandy has a strong family support that can bring her through this and do as Shawnn explained and protect yourself hon and even more for your little lover.

Ooh Jodi. I find it funny that you all are so offended. I gave my idea on a matter based on the info given but Shawnn highlighted my point and I addressed her there then it seems no one remembers who needs the advice and on my idea given. So based on that explanation I gave, everything else is about that and the needed support fell through. Stop using my name, I laughed because you on me still and there is a young lady in need of serious help. Funny. Yes real funny. My lady needs come clean and tell both men and they organize from there. But based on my best ideological and being taught I gave my answer on her question. She will do better next time as youths learn from their mistakes! !! Blessed day Jodi!!! Smh

Giving her answers that aren't necessarily correct is not putting people down gently. It's giving misinformation. That is all.

Shawnn she asked for help, at put in some compassion. I never lived that way but becoming an adult I woke up to people living free. We are a support group. Put her down gently that's all. You mean well just a bit harsh. I and all learn on this sight so keep up the good work.

I am not sure what is judgmental about advising the use of contraceptives? Especially if you have multiple partners. Saves on the baby-daddy drama and well as the potential STD drama!
Even an MD can't tell you who is the daddy. DNA is the only answer.

Shawnn you seem very judgmental, you forgot you have secrets of your past. She asked and based on my country's method I answered. The young lady already knows she has to do a DNA.. I am in nursing school thank you!!!!!

Actually she could have ovulated when her cycle ended. Every woman ovulates differently and may ovulate differently each month. There is no possible way for us to tell when her body ovulated. There are even woman that ovulate while on their period. So really it could be either guy and the only way to know is by doing a DNA test, which has to be done after baby is born.

Lyndy-Ann...Are you a certified physician, that you can confidently say who is the father of this child? Highly doubtful, considering that you've not even looked at DNA...

To the OP...GO TO THE DOCTOR. Don't take anyone's answers on here as bible truth, because the fact of the matter is, no one can tell you a darn thing in regards to who is the father of your child.

January 3rd hon. That's a more practical time for ovulation. The 22nd your cycle ended so you couldn't have gotten pregnant.

No clue. Paternity test.

If you're going to jump from bed to bed, may I recommend contraceptives? Saves all of the 'who's my baby daddy' drama...

Don't know.....you will have to do a DNA test when baby is born. Either one could be.
