Indoor crafts/games for yucky days! help!

I have always been a working mom but recently have switched roles into stay-at-home mommy, which has been great. I love being able to be at home with my son, who is three, everyday and seeing all of his changes. Yet, some days are much harder than others. He is such an active little boy and loves to play outside but it gets very difficult when going outside just isn't an option due to weather. I've tried to keep up with Pinterest and trying to have creative things for him to do but I am running out of ideas. I'm looking for ideas that don't require going to the store and purchasing anything. What are some household items that could be turned into games and or crafts? Thanks :)

Cardboard boxes are always a win with kids. Feel free to tape some together.

I also make my own play-doh, goop and paint at home. Very few items needed. You might need to buy cream of tartar if you don't have it in your spice cabinet.

Goop recipe -1/2 cup cornstarch + 1/4 cup water ( add food color if you like)

Paint- 1 c. salt,1 c. flour, 1 c. water, food coloring

Another thing we do is get brown paper bags and do a ring toss type of game. You can use almost anything soft to keep your home safe. So next time at the grocery store get some brown bags, they will give them to you even if you choose "plastic"

You can make masks out of paper plates and some paint or reuse those paper bags and let him make a paper shirt.

Make your own crayon mix- Get all the broken up pieces of crayons let him add which color mixes he wants into a mini muffin pan (either use liners or oil in it before he adds) Put in the over for 10 minutes @ 250F. You can also make them in better shapes using metal cookie cutters and putting it on a cookie sheet.

Make your own fosils-

You didn't say how old he is so I hope some of it helps. I do all of these with my 2 year old daughter. We like crafts and painting stuff obviously... So maybe he'll enjoy the same. Most of these things you should have at home- if not they are cheap.
