Hi.

I am currently 6mths pregnant with my baby girl. I had 2 cs for 2 diff reasons for my elder kids but none were due to health probs or difficulty.i haven't even been in labour.

i wanted a normal delivery for the elder kids but due to circumstances i had to go for CS. my gynec of course said that 3rd baby automatically means a cs again. and i HATE cs. i am so disheartened and she won't let me try vbac. i am due to deliver at 38weeks-planned cs. can i by any means try to induce labour ay home by myself a day before the cs is due to maybe if i am in labour the gynec might let me try a vbac? you think it's safe? i soo soooo wish for a vbac.

please advise.

thanks

Your doctor knows what's best, it's risky enough to try a vbac after just 1 csection but after 2 it's not safe, please don't try this, you can tear open the old scar and if you were at home when that happened you wouldn't make it to the hospital and you could lose the baby and you could die too please just listen to the dr

I agree with the others. Dont try anything. Listen to your doctors, they know what they are doing.

Not safe and not something I would put my life and my baby's life at risk for. To me the meaning of a parent or a mother is putting my wants aside for what is best for my kids and my family. I don't see putting my baby's life or my own in danger just to not have a csec. As being a good parent or mother......I see that as being selfish.

Generally, when a physician (who's completed at the very LEAST 10 years of schooling, and most much more than that) is telling you that it's not safe, and will not authorize it...what makes you think you know better?

You'd actually risk both yourself, and your unborn child, just to satisfy a selfish personal desire? I know that pregnant women get crazy, but this, to me, is not crazy, it's dangerous.

So your doctor won't do a VBAC, but you have decided to play God with your child's life and try and do it anyway by inducing yourself because of your own selfish reasons of wanting to deliver naturally. And if there are complications? Can you live with that? To be honest, this is NOT the place to get advice about what could potentially be your child's life (and yours). You need to get a second opinion from another professional, but waiting until you are 6 months pregnant to get that advice is probably not going to help. You should have sought a second opinion when your doctor first told you this.
