Infant watching tv?

My 3 month old will focus on whatever tv is around her. Even during feedings, she will turn her head almost completely around to watch. Is this unusual? I in no way encourage this, she just seems to find it if one is on. I have never, ever placed her in front of the tv. I just find this so odd! My 18 month old niece doesn't even acknowledge the presence of tv.

I would switch off the TV during feeding, I do so, cause it's such a bonding time and even I get distracted by TV, let alone a little one, having so many interesting sounds and sights on a box! :P

I hope so. She used to focus that precious little face on me, and now she wants to watch New Girl. The only reason I am becoming concerned is that she will turn away from her food to watch tv. I have 6 nieces and nephews and have never seen this behavior from a child so young.

It's something that she has recently discovered, so she is very interested in it. If you don't encourage it, she will eventually get bored with it and find something else to keep her interest. She probably loves the colors, sounds, and movements on the tv.
