My 15 month old was born with congenital cataracts (a tiny spot) in each eye. At 4 months she was diagnosed with Anterior Polar cataracts. We're told these usually don't grow and don't affect vision so we don't need to do anything other than some light patching and drops. Now one of them has become significantly visible and our doc. is talking about surgery. I can't find anything on these type of cataracts. Any of your little ones has these kind? They're leaving it up to us to decide as it's nearly impossible to know how these would affect her vision. they worry about glaucoma. Any of the little ones had glaucoma after surgery? We patch the good eye and she functions just fine. She's 15month so she can't speak yet so it's hard to know how well she sees.
Any help is appreciated. I'm looking for parents with these type of cataracts please msg me email@example.com
