I was in a on and off again relationship with a man 12 years ago which resulted in my daughter. Her biological father ran as soon as he found out I was pregnant and I moved to a different state. Needless to say I met a man a few months after my daughter was born and although he is not her biological father, he has been the only father she has ever known. My situation is this. We are preparing to tell my daughter the truth about her biological father ( she is starting to ask questions that we do not want to lie about to her). I would like to prepare the biological father for this situation, but the only way I really can do that is through his mother. I know if I had a grandchild out there, I would want to know, so I am wondering, should I do this or am I opening a whole new can of worms with the grandmother? Maybe she would like to know her grandchild? I really need some advice.
