my name is Cyndie Matthews and I am a wife of a LEO and have a son in the police academy to become a sheriff? my husband's been in law enforcement since our son was just a baby. our son is now gone going on 28 yrs old he will graduate March 20th has a rehearsal dinner on the 21st and gets married on the 22nd of March. Our son is an only child. We have always supported him in all he has chosen to do. With do muvh happening in his life in such a short time I am finding he is going through lots of emotions and concerns. As I reflect back on when my husband went thru the academy. I remember he went thru the same rmotions. Such as: Is it the right job, what happens if he does not graduate, is his heart into this job? I believe that most of the people in the academy or that have gone thru all these thoughts. I only want our don to be happy. I am a proud wife and mother. Tjis life is not for rveyone and let me tell you. It's not an easy one either. My heart worries about our son. He has done so much in his young life to make the world a safe place as a part time fire fighter, corrections officer and now moving twords going out on the road. I only wish that hod will watch over our son and continue to look out for my husband as they protect and serve.
