Interviewing while pregnant

Im 18 wks along and im job hunting because my current contract will end in a few weeks. I have a 10 month old and after I went on maternity my contract expired and was not renewed until late so I was out of a job for 2 months. Despite the renewal of a contract (within the same department), I was only given 6 months and there has been no conversation regarding a renewal, plus the terms of this contract are different. Now that Im pregnant with my second (an unexpected surprise) Im in a predicament since my bump is showing a lot sooner than in my first pregnancy ( and also sooner than I anticipated) which I think may be an issue in my interviews. I already had 1 interview but I was showing only aa little then ( well at least I was able to disguise it well), but have not heard back as yet (Im assuming because of the holidays....I work in academia and the job is within the same company). My dilemma is Im not sure if I should inform my current boss and negotiate an extension of my contract and how do I approach the interviews going forward now that im showing. I live in the Caribbean I have no idea what laws govern this particular situation. Any advice ....anyone?

you need to look into labor laws there. I know in Canada you can't be fired for being pregnant and they can't not hire you based off of that. Being that it's work and pregnancy there could be something different in the laws there. Up until the 1980s here you could lose your job once your boss found out you were pregnant here.
