Hi my name is Rachael and I am a Mom of a 17 month( well will be 17 months on the 25th) old boy. I was wondering if it is a good idea to introduce him to things simultaneously. He seems to be bored and isn't all that into "normal" toddler activities like writing, reading, and playing with blocks. I was wondering if this is a good time to introduce potty training and maybe sipping from a regular cup. He isn't walking but I can tell he is close because he just randomly stands and we are able to take walks around the neighborhood(with me holding his hand) and he catches himself when he falls. I was thinking that helping him focus on other things will help build his confidence to get him to walk since he just doesn't want to let go. He use to but he fell and injured one of his teeth. My fear is that I will overwhelm him with too many things but I know he isn't being challenged enough. Anyone ever try this approach and see results?

I think you are way to pre-mature. Boys do not develop as fast as girls. Be patient
