I disagree, dad doesn't have to suck it up or deal with it. It is NOT his penis to make this decision about. Leave your sons penis alone. There is NO reason to put your baby through that immense pain, just because daddy doesn't like how his sons penis looks. That is totally an absurd reason to cut off a completely normal functioning part of the body. Let your son decide what he wants to do with his own damned penis when he is of legal age.

legally here you can only do it up to 2 weeks old. Any thing else has to be deemed medically necessary by a doctor due to complications. Dad has to deal with it now. He had 20 weeks to decide before birth.

Tell his dad to suck it up. Unless there is a medical reason, no way.

It is 'too late'? No. Would 'I' do it at 6 months if it hadn't been done at birth and there wasn't a REALLY good medical reason? Not a chance.

What are your reasons for wanting to circumcise?
Really, unless it's for medical reasons it should be left alone. I have 2 boys that aren't done and they haven't had any problems.

technically its never late. but good luck finding a doctor who will be willing to do the surgery. most doctors wont do it for this reason. circumcision is not a life or death thing. its cosmetic. so most doctors refuse to do it once the baby is past 2 weeks. a newborn has a small penis, less foreskin to cut and the pain threshold is not as severe. once he starts growing it will be very painful to go through the surgery with just local anasthetic. So he will have to be sedated with general anasthetic. The risk versus benefit of having a baby go through this surgery at 6 months of age is not worth it.

Seriously? I wasn't trying to pick a fight. I think you are actually misunderstanding that your point is the same as my point. Suck it up means he has to just get the fuck over it. I'm failing to see how that is any different to your message. You can't CONTROL how he thinks about it. But suck it up means how he feels about it doesn't count.

Who's picking the fight?

Whatever Jodi, pick a fight just to pick a fight. Sucking it up means to me he has to deal and address the issue. My whole point is that it is not his penis, so he should not be thinking about a major life altering procedure on it.

I wouldn't put that poor baby through that pain...I wouldn't even do it at birth.

But it's not part of my religion so I was not raised to believe in it...If it was my religion it might be a different story.

"I disagree, dad doesn't have to suck it up or deal with it. It is NOT his penis to make this decision about. Leave your sons penis alone."

But that is telling dad to suck it up.......Dad's the one who wants the circumcision, and telling him to suck it up IS telling him no way.

Would be interesting to know if you want it for religous reasons or medical reasons.
