is a c-section considered a hip to hip incision?

No, it isn't. It's considered major abdominal surgery, with all that entails for recovery time and limited activities for the recovery period, e.g. lifting, but it is nowhere near a 'hip to hip' incision.

These days the exterior incision is usually stapled, not covered in a dressing other than loose gauze for the first 24 hours (better results for avoiding infection) and the staples are removed, on average, after 4 days. Mine took 7 days because I healed slowly and was obese at the time, which put more pressure on the incision. 4 days is more usual.

Mine wasn't from one hip to the other. I don't have a clue what it's 'considered' though.

no, I had a c-section and the cut is very small. it is also very low towards the pubic line and almost impossible to see.
