is he scared or is it just me??

My baby boy was hospitalized yesterday for a urinary infection and today he will not sleep in the crib he wakes up scared when i put him down.....we will be here for the next 5 days em i suppose to hold him the whole time im here??? any advise??

If you think he's scared, then I would trust that he's scared. Maybe you're scared, too. Hospitals can be pretty scary places. If he were mine, hold him and sleep with him and keep him close. (Regardless of what the nurses told me, cuz they'd probably have a fit about the sleeping part. lol)

I'd get a sling and wear him so your arms get a break. I had a Maya Wrap, and while it took some practice, I was able to hold my babies and still move around and live my life. Find your local La Leche League chapter and ask someone to come teach you how to use a sling safely.

There's lots of slings and wraps. I recommend something simple and inexpensive as you can get, something that allows you to hold him heart to heart. Do NOT go find something with lots of straps and buckles like a Baby Bjorn.
