Im in a relationship with my daughter's father but, we are not happy and fight most of the time. Is it better to just stay with him for her sake so she has both of her parents at one time or should we part ways?

No. Raise your child in an angry, loveless marriage and she'll turn around and look for the exact same thing in her own partner.

However, before just throwing in the towel, have you guys looked at the reasons behind your unhappiness, sought counseling or attended any relationship workshops? When there is a child involved, you do owe it to them to try EVERYTHING to save the relationship before walking away. (Unless she's being exposed to drugs, violence, etc...then you just need to get the heck out!)

I don't think the child benifits one little bit for parents being together in a loveless unhappy partnership. As long as the parents stay amicable for the child's sake and the child doesn't end up been used as a tug of war it's so much better for the child. Happy parents make better parents I always say.
