is it normal for a ten month old baby to grow upper front teeth first

There is a usual order that teeth come in. The bottom two teeth generally cut through first, then the top two come in second. Not all kids follow that pattern though.

They say now that your first visit to a paediatric dentist should be when the first teeth cut through, so it's time for you to visit the dentist anyway. A dentist should be able to tell you if there is anything to worry about. Most likely there's not, but there are unusual situations where something is amiss - like your baby actually doesn't have all of their teeth.
