Is it normal for almost 4 year old to always want to be picked up when we're out?

My almost 4 year old is quite active around the house or when playing at the park. But have him take short walks (he's starting school in September so I want him to practice walking to school which is less than 10 min away), he says he's too tired and wants to sit in his stroller or if we don't have it, he wants to be picked up. Is this normal for his age?

Yes, but insist that he walks. Just walk at his pace, not your's. His legs are shorter, so he is taking 3 times as many steps as you.

yes it is normal, however if you see that he doesn't run and play much either you might consider talking to his Dr about it. My son does it also so try not to worry about it much.

Yes, it's pretty normal. They are still so little, but the more they walk the stronger their little legs will become. My boy is almost 5 and he still wants to be picked up a lot of the time.
