Every baby is different and demand food at different intervals. I think it is with in the normal range.

They do whatever they want at this age, and feeding every 2-3 hours being normal and "they should be" is a myth.

Jenny is right. everyone is different. as long as your baby is eating at one month you can't say what is normal for him. The doctors only have a idea about what is expected but even a doctor will tell you to listen to your baby. if he is asking for food then feed him. just be careful not to answer every cry with feeding. check other things 1st if he just ate. my son is now 3 months and is eating almost 5 oz of breast milk. that seems like a lot to my sister who fourmal feeds her girl. my son is a chunky little monkey but it is all normal for him. also growth sprts change how much the eat too after a growth sprt u may notice that they are not eating as much as they did. anyway talk to you doc. they will tell you all this and weigh your baby or do a sugar check, they will know if he is geting enough. and its is really hadr to give them too much as this age, they will just spit up if he gets too much so dont worry about over feeding. this is my opinion
