My three old month baby has a cold and he is having a hard time breathing. So I watched a video at babycentre on how to use a bulb syringe and the doctor said you have to insert the bulb syringe as far as it would go in order for it to work. So I did that (though I am still very careful not to insert to hard) and when I expelled the mucus in a tissue paper I was shocked to see a tinge of blood. I am afraid I have hurt him and because he cried so loud. Now I'm afraid to use the bulb syringe again. Is is possible that I have used the bulb syringe the wrong way?
