It's my first baby and I am terribly worried... I'm now 17 wks pregnant and I am experiencing occasional lower abdominal pains, though it isn't accompanied by bleeding still the pain keeps me up all night. Also lately i have got troubles sleeping at night.. I'm worried what to do?

With my first pregnancy I never had cravings, but I had an intense reaction to toast of all things, just the very smell of it would make be get sick to my stomach. I have had various cravings with my other pregnancies, or sometimes none at all. Like I said... every pregnancy is different, my last one presented itself with the added complication of gestational diabetes, and a c-section that should have lasted around 20 mins... lasting for almost 3 hours. I could feel my feet and move my legs by the time I was getting stitched up! The joys of being a Mummy!!!!

Thanks Caroline for the comment really appreciate it.. I also find myself not having those cravings and i'm also not that fond of eating like what pregnant women are expected to be. My food intake is still the way it's used to be... I will definitely talk to my doctor about this...

Hi there, I wouldn't worry to much about this, as this is probably pain from your womb stretching with your little one growing inside you.. I have had 6 children and each pregnancy is different, so to be sure then please see your midwife or GP. But as I say, don't worry to much about it, just take it as your body changing and adapting to having your little one inside of you. I hope this helps you a little bit :)
