Make an appointment with your doctor ASAP! one of the common risks with mirena is ectopic pregnancy(in the fallopian tubes instead of the uterus) This can be life threatening.

I hope I feel better afterwards. My doctors nurse said that it's just because my body changed after having my son. But sometimes when I have intercourse, the mirena gets pushed up and causes me to not be able to walk, my whole body starts spazzing out, i almost went to the er last time. I'ts terrible.

I had the mirena from Feb 14 2009 to Feb 2011 and I had the mood swings the painful stabbing in the stomach and I had the damn thing taken out.Now I feel so much more myself and the whole issue was the mirena.I hope you all get it taken out because I think there are just too many issues with it.I am currently looking into the non hormonal permanent birth control. They have it in a sponge( can't find the link but the product starts with an A) and it is inserted into the tubes and left there to actually grow into your inner tissue and block the tubes.Hope this helps and GOOD LUCK!!!!

I've had the mirena for nearly three years now, and I lately have been having those issues also. I get mine removed next week, I hope you figured out what was wrong with you & everything worked out!
