Like most of us have said, under 12 months they don't need it at all!!!!
There is sooooo much sugar in juice. You would be better off feeding the fruit instead of the processed, sugar added crap they sell in the store. Even the "organic" stuff is the same.
Give your child fresh watermelon, apples, oranges, pears, grapes and banana's over commercial fruit juice.

Not that much. My dr recommended only 4 oz when mine was 1 and he is now 2 almost 3 and its still the same amount. What I do with his juice, most the time, is to fill his cup half way with juice and then fill the rest with water. He cant tell a difference and he "thinks" its all juice. Juice is just sugary and if consumed a lot its not good for their health. Its good to keep them drinking good amount of milk, its healthy, has a good amount of fat in it so they can gain weight in a healthy manner, and to introduce water after 1, Keeping healthy drinks around is soo much better now and in the long run. They learn good habits early on, and they wont want as much no so good food/drink later on.
Im not close to perfect but I try to keep my son not having so much of certain things, but I know it will beneift him in the long run.My son doesnt normally get candy. He will get a sucker from the bank every now and then, about 2 times a month, but normally we dont buy it because even ourselves we know its not good t have around cuz we will eat it quickly lol. But my son even this past halloween we let him eat as much as he wanted, He ate like 4-5 pieces, and he was done, it was awful but he got sick from it because his body just isnt used to it. We arnt strict about it, if someone has candy to give him we let them, we just try at home to have a healthier environment so he is taught by us to have a good diet.
Also my son loves loves loves juice. I had to go through a phase of cutting back, I was giving him too much and he just turned 2 or so and it was hard. So trust me the earlier you can keep them drinking a good healthy variety of drinks do it, because toddlers can put up a fight lol.
