Is it OK for our 11 1/2 month old twins to go to sleep in our arms with a bottle?

We have 11 1/2 month old twins, and from the time they were newborns we have given them a bath, given them a bottle, and then put them to bed asleep. Now everyone I know is telling me that I need to put them to bed without giving them a bottle first. I know I could sing to them, or read a bed time book, but they have never known anything else but this routine. DO I need to set a new routine now that they are older that doesn't involve a bottle? If so, what should that routine invovle? I tend to be hyper concerned that I'm not doing the right thing, so any advice would be great.

Well the only thing that I find you are going to have a problem with is because they only know their bottle before bed and it has now become a source of comfort and they can't sleep without it you are going to have a terrible time pulling the bottle at a year old. My advice is if you intend to get rid of the bottles at a year is to start weaning a little bit at a time starting now.
