By 2 years old a child should be eating regular food or you should be seeking professional help. Now, I have a child that would 'sometimes' only nurse all day up to and even a bit past 18 months (typically when sick or teething), but MOST days past a year he was eating at least a couple of meals of real food and by 2 years old he was eating at least 2-3 meals (sometimes he would nurse to sleep for 'lunch') and 1-3 snacks.

Agrees with Jodi. This is a concern you need to talk to your doc about as your child may need some therapy to eat textured foods.

No, it's not okay. Your 2 year old should have been eating solids for quite a while. He needs the nutrition that fruit and vegetables will give him.
