What you should do is talk to your baby's doctor. My youngest is 4 months and was eating 32-36+oz a day. His doctor said that is way to much. That he should start with some rice cereal mixed with formula. Then add some baby food a week or so later. A 4 month old should get about 24oz of formula a day for the nutrition. But baby food and cereal will fill them up in between. Here is how my sons feedings go. He wakes up 7-7:30am drinks 8 oz, then around 8 eats about 2tbsp of cereal with formula and half a jar of baby food. Then he naps wakes up plays around 12 he eats the other half a jar and a complete jar for lunch and has another 8 oz bottle shortly after. He then will eat another jar to two jars for dinner and take his last 8oz bottle before bed. This is what my sons doctor said to do and I have a very healthy baby. He is finally full and content and everyone's life is a lot easier. Hope this helps.

If she is going through formula like crazy, that means she needs it. She is too young to fill up with solid foods - they don't contain the nutrients that formula does so you would essentially be filling up her tummy with food with fewer calories and nutrients. Her growing body and brain only needs formula at this stage.
Also, remember solids are just for practice before they are 12 months old. They should NOT replace formula.
